A virtual ocean adventure

We might not be able to get out on the water, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy an ocean adventure.

Check out David Attenborough’s interactive journey around the Great Barrier Reef, a “beautiful but threatened world”.

It looks in detail at some of the 1,500 fish species and 600 coral types that live on the 133,000-square-mile reef. This story of one of Earth’s most biodiverse ecosystems and the damage done to it by climate change is told through interactive timelapses, videos, weather maps and even a “mantis shrimp vision” tool.
