Art collection for superyachts launches

Artist and sculptor, Carol Bruton, has launched a new art collection specifically handcrafted to enhance superyacht interiors.

The collection, entitled ‘Raindrops’, is said to highlight Bruton’s fascination with water. A keen ocean swimmer, Bruton started painting in a tiny fishing village in Costa del Sol in Spain, drawing on inspiration from her surroundings.

Bruton says her technique uses cold glass and raw pigments which results in the mirroring of the reflections and ripples that water creates.

Her work, she says, is perfectly aligned with the refinement and artisanship of superyacht interiors, and that her appeal to the superyacht sector is due to the ‘aesthetic beauty of her artwork that makes visual statements that draw admiration’.

No stranger to the superyacht sector, Bruton created The Superyacht Show’s Richard Earp Award named Ocean’s 9.

Accepting commissions for bespoke pieces for specific yachts, Bruton says she can make artwork to custom sizes and colours can be chosen to match and enhance the existing décor.
