Bainbridge steps it up

Bainbridge, the UK’s only marine, sail making, cover making and watercraft distributor, has announced that it is now offering its UK trade customers the advantage of free shipping on all orders.

This follows hot on the heels of the recent improvement of even later shipment cut off for next day delivery which is now pushed out to 4.30pm.  The change has been made possible by efficiency savings through additional carrier traffic and significantly increased utilisation of Bainbridge’s own transport fleet.

The new free shipping announcement makes it even easier for customers to transact with Bainbridge without having to worry about additional charges.

This change falls into line with the continuous improvement programme Bainbridge has been running within the warehouse and logistics teams.

“We know how important free carriage is to our customers, and thanks to our recent changes through our expanded van fleet runs and logistics contracts, this now allows us to push free shipping out to ALL our customers.

“This means that any order, for any UK customer, for any item now ships carriage free – it’s a total game changer, as it makes it even easier to deal with us.  Customers don’t have to worry about surcharges or thresholds – they can order safe in the knowledge that there are no hidden extra charges with Bainbridge,” says Andrew Watson, Sales & Marketing Director, Bainbridge International.

The new free carriage announcement is timed perfectly for the Easter weekend, when there is always last minute requirements from customers as they make their preparations for the major kick off to the boating season.

“We are really delighted to bring in this great improvement – as we bring the service our customers deserve to forefront of our operations.  We are already seeing the result of our extended cut off times and the work we have put in to improving our ranges and availability in our sales performance; free shipping will add even more benefit to all our customers,” adds Andrew Watson.

This recent announcement compliments changes to Bainbridge’s Service Level Agreement to customers made in 2018 & 19 which has seen the introduction of overnight shipping, end of day cut off times for next day shipment and reduced Special Service pricing.
