Barton Marine is expanding in the USA with the launch of Barton US. Known for its comprehensive range of sailboat hardware, the new dedicated local presence will boost service levels and supply efficiency for boaters across the continent.

A selection of Barton products have been available in the USA for decades, available from outfitters such as Defender and CWR. The new operation, with distribution based in Hampton, Virginia, will facilitate supply of the full range of over 1,800 hardware products. Partnering with the established East Coast marine team at Atlantic Marketing Co. To support sales, US outfitters, riggers and yards can expect a knowledgeable and friendly approach to trading. Similar sales partnerships for the West Coast and Great Lakes will be announced soon.

Barton Marine CEO, Suzanne Blaustone, says: “Boating is such an important pastime and passion in the US and we believe our range is a perfect fit for the needs of the modern boat owner. As a global supplier, now is the right time to up our game in the US and supply the market directly with our full catalogue. Boaters don’t need to mix and match brands to fit out their boats, knowing that Barton hardware has been designed by sailors, tested by sailors and manufactured by sailors in our own factory in England. It’s an exciting time for Barton and we are keen to meet our new US customers.”

The range includes Barton’s recently upgraded compact block range and its classic wooden blocks, which are gaining popularity among classic boat owners following their launch at the Wooden Boat Show in Mystic MA. Track and car systems complement the range, along with lighter weight composite winches and the Barton Wincher, which makes traditional winches self-tailing.

“Barton offers unique solutions for great value that we know will resonate with the consumers’ buying choices as they discover more about this established global brand,” comments Brandon Flack from Atlantic Marketing Co. “Being part of the re-launch in the US will be a lot of fun for our team, and we look forward to sharing this story with our accounts.”
