What product or service does your company offer and where is it available?
The CXO300 is the first 300hp diesel outboard engine, designed and developed in partnership with Ricardo, one of the world’s leading engine developers. Berthon Power is the official UK & Ireland distributor for Cox Powertrain 300hp Diesel Outboard Engine, demonstration of the engine will be available throughout the UK and Ireland from May 2019.
What does it do?
The CXO300 has been specially developed to rival the power, performance and weight of a petrol outboard motor, with the additional benefit of diesel economy.
What does this offer your customers?
The CXO300 is the highest power density diesel outboard motor ever developed, designed for commercial service up to three times longer than an equivalent petrol outboard motor. It delivers a 25% increased range and its dynamic construction results in longer service intervals of approximately 1,200 hours.
Why is this important to people, what benefit does it give them?
The CXO300 will deliver a package volume around half that of a state-of-the-art diesel inboard with comparable fuel efficiency. Crucially for commercial operators, it offers at least a 25% better range compared to a petrol outboard and is designed to last up to three times longer. Reduced maintenance and haul out costs and minimal disruption to operations for engine service and repairs are also advantages.
