British Motor Yacht Show powers ahead

With the Southampton Boat Show postponed until 2021, the British Motor Yacht Show continues with its plans to be one of the few UK boat shows in 2020.

The show has already been extended to nine days and will run over two weekends, from Saturday 1 August to Sunday 9 August at Premier’s Swanwick Marina.

Entry to the show is by appointment only and visitors will be required to pre-register to make arrangements to view a specific boat or boats in advance of their arrival. Safety and security protocols will ensure social distancing is maintained at all times, say the organisers, and there will be hygiene stations for hand sanitising and PPE available.

On show will be British brands Fairline, Princess and Sunseeker, as well as overseas offerings including Axopar, Azimut, Bavaria, Bayliner, Beneteau, Brabus, BRIGG, Chris Craft, Greenline, Invictus, Jeanneau, Prestige, Sealine, as well as Williams Jet Tenders and Highfield Ribs (UT Boat Club).

The latest entries to the show are Hinckley Yachts and Hunt Yachts (offshore cruising yachts).

Fairline Southampton will display its Squadron 53, Targa 45 Open, Targa 45GT and Targa 48 Open alongside the highly-anticipated F//Line 33 – a worthy winner in the Motorboat Awards 2020.

Princess Motor Yacht Sales will display a whole new breed of yacht, the Princess R35. Fully carbon, powered by V8 engines, this yacht can reach a top speed of 50 knots. The company is also expected to show its Y85, F70, F55, S62, S66, and P40 Motor Yachts.

Making its UK debut at the show, Sunseeker Southampton will unveil its all-new Manhattan 68 as well as the Sunseeker Manhattan 52 and the Predator 50, 60 (EVO) and 74, plus the 74 Sport Yacht and 76 Yacht.

The show remains free to enter but boat viewings will be limited to a maximum of four people, all from the same household.
