International marine equipment supplier C-Quip has signed a deal with TeamO to distribute its back-tow lifejackets in the UK commercial and leisure markets.

The Hampshire based business chose this year’s Seawork to officially sign and confirm with TeamO’s Oscar Mead to distribute the company’s award winning back-tow lifejackets to the UK commercial and leisure marine markets.

Ian Cooke, C-Quip MD, commented on the new addition to the company’s safety product range: “I am pleased to confirm that C-Quip is now the UK Distributor of TeamO lifejackets. Both the commercial and leisure products have huge potential. They come with a wide range of benefits and are premium quality lifejackets in their own right with the addition of the innovative back-tow feature.

“Both the commercial and leisure products have huge potential to sell well. They come with a wide range of benefits and are premium quality lifejackets in their own right.

“We are excited to be working with Oscar and the TeamO team and are pleased we could confirm the new relationship at this year’s Seawork.”

The patented TeamO back-tow lifejacket technology allows a user to be turned face up in a seated position during a man-overboard situation as they are towed alongside a vessel before being hoisted aboard. This keeps airways clear and allows communication and immediate rescue by the crew. Back-tow also reduces the risk of injury during recovery.

The TeamO lifejackets are available on the C-Quip website to all chandleries, and are already being retailed through Crewsafe. C-Quip is on stand PB71 from 13-15 June at Seawork, Mayflower Park, Southampton.
