Alewijnse Marine to bring the latest in screen technology to MYS 2018

At the Monaco Yacht Show 2018, Alewijnse Marine and its associate company Admarel will be launching Carbon Black TM, the latest in innovative projection screen technology for superyachts designed to offer its clients the richest experiences. This brand-new technology has been created by cutting-edge technology partner MANN CG as an ultra-high performance projection surface that boosts contrast to deliver exceptionally vivid images. Visitors can experience this breakthrough at stand QP54, in the air-conditioned tent Parvis Piscine.

Ultimate cinematic experience
Liam Mahon, Innovation Lead at MANN CG, said about the new projection screen technology for superyachts: “We use carbon graphite nanotubes that react with projected light to form an active glowing image. This creates a better than cinematic quality screen, for viewing in comfortable ambient lighting. The screen shows amazing colour contrasting and is not affected by any light behind. Finally, to create the ultimate cinematic experience we use the latest laser projectors.

Perfect for yachts
“These all-new screen projection technology systems are perfect for yachts, because they can work in any rotation environment, have a high tolerance of vibration, and are very easy to maintain. The screens are lightweight and easy to install. They can also be created in any size and each is custom-fitted to its location. In addition, the projectors are wirelessly connected, allowing users to control their experience directly from their smart phones or on screens in different rooms as each projector will take over the playing as they move from room to room.”

Special offer for captains and crew
In addition to this new technology for the yachting industry, the EntryPod will again be showcased on the Alewijnse / Admarel stand. This is a compact, mobile, all-in-one solution for superyacht access control and visitor communications. The EntryPod has been developed in response to customer demand and is in use on several yachts, also able to see in Port Hercules during this year’s show. In partnership with ACREW, Admarel is offering the first 300 registered ACREW members at their lounge in La Rascasse a special swipe card. Captains and crew are invited to use this to test the EntryPod for themselves. By presenting this swipe card to the EntryPod’s interface they automatically enter a draw to become one of three lucky winners of an Apple watch.

By picking up an Alewijnse or Admarel fit smart watch, other visitors will also have the chance to win a professional activity tracker. Every day at the end of the show a winner will be announced.

Partner of the Fraser Yachts Captains’ Dinner
Admarel has again committed to being a partner of the Fraser Yachts Captains’ Dinner being held at the Monaco Yacht Club. For this 18th edition it will be presenting a surprising high-end technology corner in cooperation with MANN CG. The annual Captains’ Dinner & Awards is one of the most popular events of the Monaco Yacht Show and is held every year to thank the charter captains and crew who work so hard for their guests throughout the year.

Event partner Boat International
Alewijnse Marine is happy to announce to be partner of the Boat International annual event in Monaco. This highly respected event promises to be an unmissable occasion once again.
