TheYachtMarket.com SBS offers a welcome sit down

It was balloons and selfies galore on Saturday (2 September) as shoppers celebrated the start of TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show 2017, in just under two weeks’ time. Title sponsors, Richard Roberts and Simon White of TheYachtMarket.com also popped by to help promote the 49th edition of the region’s event.

The Boat Show team was handing out balloons and stickers as well as encouraging shoppers to pose for a selfie in the Show’s giant deckchair. Children and adults alike were soon dressing themselves up with the fun props on hand and climbing into the chair with friends and family.

The pirate theme was to celebrate cbeebies’ Swashbuckle star, Gemma Hunt’s appearance at the Show on Saturday 16 September. Officially opening the Show to the kids, Gem will also be performing three song and dance sessions, signing autographs and hosting meet and greets.

There’s plenty of action going on during the 10 days of TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show, with the focus of the Show being on getting visitors of all ages and boating ability out on the water. Showgoers this year will be able to enjoy a 20-minute trip on the Show’s very own passenger boat, try their hand at bell-boating or take to the Adventure River Canoe Ride. This is all in addition to Show favourites including the chance to experience a boat ride, try dinghy sailing, windsurfing and stand-up paddle boarding. The Show’s youngest visitors don’t miss out either as they get to have fun on Bumper Boats or the ultimate motorised boating adventure.

More than 500 exhibitors will be at the 2017 TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show, showcasing everything the leisure marine industry has to offer, from the latest luxury yachts, to clothing and accessories, tech gadgets and services for your boat.
