Dee Caffari MBE to give the final talk at the PSP & Landau UK stand E039A/B at TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show 2018

PSP Logistics and Landau UK are delighted to announce that Dee Caffari MBE, the first woman to have sailed single-handed and non-stop around the world three times, will give the final talk at the PSP and Landau UK stand at this year’s TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show tomorrow.

Sunsail ambassador Dee, who recently led ‘Turn the Tide on Plastic’ – the first mixed gender youth team to compete in the Volvo Ocean Race 2017/18, will take to the podium on Friday 21 September at 2.00pm, on stand E039A/B to present a talk entitled: Volvo Ocean Race and Turning the Tide on Plastic

The presentation will include what the male / female rule change means in practical terms for the race, the challenge of sailing plastic free around the world, and the research into plastic in the oceans which her crew conducted during the race.

PSP Founder and Managing Director Frank Dixie said, “We are huge admirers of Dee’s and we’ve worked with her for many years.  We are delighted that she will be joining us for our series of inspiring talks”.  Ben Metcalfe, Landau UK CEO, commented further: “We are drastically reducing plastic on our stand this year and we are committed to recycling as much of the stand as possible after the show – plastic in the oceans is the marine industry’s number one priority and we’re thrilled we can allow Dee a platform to further highlight the problem”.

Dee Caffari is appearing on behalf of Sunsail, the sailor’s sailing holiday company.
