MDL’s Torquay Marina scored Five Gold Anchors

MDL’s Torquay Marina has been awarded five Gold Anchors

Torquay Marina, run by MDL Marinas, has been awarded Five Gold Anchors by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA). The 440-berth marina received the accolade following a rigorous testing and audit process that rates marinas similarly to the star system used for hotels.

“We are delighted to have another of our marinas recognised for offering the highest marina standards in the industry again,” said Adrien Burnand, head of marketing at MDL Marinas. “The awards are testament to the hard work put in by the team at the marina, as well as clearly demonstrating the quality of the facilities and services on offer to our valued members.”

Mike Smith, marina manager, added: “We are hugely proud to receive the prestigious Five Gold Anchors and its recognition of the commitment and enthusiasm my team delivers each day at the marina. We are all very passionate about our roles and I know this commendation will only propel us further, ensuring we continue to deliver an outstanding service for all our members.”

The awards rate the service, quality and overall standards of a marina’s offering and they are deemed as being a high award honour in the marine industry.
