Foiling Dinghy debuts at RYA Dinghy Show

The Foiling Dinghy from Advanced Sailing Technologies (AST) will have its UK debut at the RYA Dinghy Show (29 February – 01 March), stand D20.

Designed as an easy to foil sailing dinghy, it’s purpose built to foil with a dual-foil system, and is lightweight, easy to transport, launch and handle on land.

“The new dinghy is designed to be stable and forgiving in flight, yet exciting to sail, and aimed at the club sailor,” says Thilo Keller, AST Managing Director. “Complexity is reduced to a minimum, with dual foils that are self-adjusting and self-tacking, giving it the ease of sailing as a laser, the lightness of an aero, and enables safe and fun foiling performance.”

Dynamic-Sailing will also be launching at the show. This new business is headed up by Stephen Blake, who will be working with AST to promote The Foiling Dinghy in the UK.

“It’s a great time to launch The Foiling Dinghy in the UK; I was so impressed with the boat at the Düsseldorf in January 2020, I knew that we had to showcase the boat in the UK,” says Stephen. “For me, German design and engineering has delivered a foiling boat that can be enjoyed by the majority that can sail a sailing dinghy.”

Q&A sessions will take place at 11:30 and 15:30 both days, talking about the unique ACC, Automatic Cant Control foil system.

Visitors can also enter a free prize draw to be in with a chance of winning a day on the water in The Foiling Dinghy at Carsington Sailing Club, in Ashbourne. There are five places available, while a special show promotion will give the first five people to place an order at the show £500 off the RRP.
