Introducing the all new ‘Womens Sailing Hub’ at the RYA Dinghy Show

Women’s sailing is thriving in the UK and for the first time ever at the RYA Dinghy Show, we introduce the ‘Women’s Sailing Hub’.

This brand new stage will feature inspirational female sailors including members of the British Sailing Team, gold medallists and world class coaches, providing insights, information, top tips, as well as answering your questions.

At 11am, don’t miss Mary Rook and Kate McGregor from The Magenta Project, the first all-female team to compete in the Extreme Sailing Series. Hear their stories and discover how this non-profit organisation is supporting female sailors at 11am (Saturday and Sunday).

On Saturday (12:00) meet Olympic gold medalist, Hannah Mills and Eilidh McIntyre, who will be talking about Olympic lifestyle, travelling the world and how to stay fit and healthy. You can also pitch your questions to Paralympic gold medalist, Helena Lucas (11am Saturday and 4pm Sunday).

RYA Regional Development Officer, Susie Moore, will be joined by Felpham Sailing Club to share top tips on how to get afloat, where to find female only sailing sessions, social events and comfortable kit to keep you warm (13:00 both days).

“We’re really excited about the brand new line up of talks which will take place throughout the weekend on the Women’s Sailing Hub,” explains RYA Show and Promotions Manager, Celia Edgington.

“All the woman speaking on this stage are passionate about sailing and as well as some fantastic talks there’ll be plenty of opportunity to ask your questions so make sure you drop by to for a chat,” she concludes.

The RYA Dinghy Show, presented by Suzuki in association with Yachts & Yachting and Gill returns to Alexandra Palace, London, over the weekend of 03-04 March 2018. This year’s theme is #dinghysailingforlife celebrating a lifetime sport for all.
