Largest classic boat event in the UK announces title sponsor

The Falmouth Classics Association are delighted to announce that English Braids has joined this year’s event as the title sponsor – making it ‘The English Braids Falmouth Classics 2019’.

One of the best-known names in the UK yachting market, English Braids, is a UK-based company manufacturing ropes, cords and braids from 0.5 mm to 80mm and from three strands to 32 plait.

Keith Tullett, Chairman of the Falmouth Classics Association says: “We are delighted that English Braids has agreed to become title sponsors for the 2019 event and we look forward to working with them this year and in planning for 2020 and beyond. From our point of view, it is important that our main sponsor is relevant to the event that we run. English Braids meet that criteria extremely well, with all boats needing ropes and classic boats needing more than most other types of vessels.”

The range of English Braids products will also be on display on their stand at the Tilley Maritime Village on Custom House Quay, supporting participants with their re-rigging needs before the racing starts.

Justin Jones, Leisure Marine Sales Manager at English Braids says: “We are very proud to be the title sponsor of this year’s Falmouth Classics. Our involvement comes as part of our commitment to supply quality British-manufactured rope and cordage to the UK leisure marine market, and also support a fantastic British yachting event in the heart of summer time.

“It gives us the opportunity to showcase our vast array of products aligned to the classic boat market. At the same time, we hope to support our existing dealers in the Falmouth area with our promotional activities and expertise.”

The English Braids Falmouth Classics is on Friday 14th – Sunday 16th June, and welcomes boats from all over the UK and parts of Europe for a long weekend of unique racing, social events and camaraderie.
