Lone sailor rescued off Portland

A lone sailor has been rescued after getting into difficulties near Portland Bill.

Weymouth Lifeboat was launched at 1.40am on Saturday morning (2 June) after receiving a May Day call from a yacht.

The crew managed to track down the stricken boat, despite being given the wrong coordinates, and the yacht was towed safely back to Weymouth Harbour.
