Yacht retailer and marina operator MarineMax has announced the completion and opening of the MarineMax Stuart Marina in Stuart, Florida. The marina is situated on company-owned property that also houses MarineMax’s retail and service operations in the area.
Located in southeast Florida, the Stuart Marina is adjacent to MarineMax’s existing operations and is designed to address the growing demand for larger centre-console boats. The facility offers storage for over 100 boats using modern boat lifts.
“The development of this new marina enhances our integrated offerings in the Stuart market and creates valuable synergies that support our neighboring retail sales and service activities,” says Brett McGill, president and CEO of MarineMax. “MarineMax Stuart marks the first new marina development project completed from start to finish with our own marine construction company, Midcoast Marine Group, which we acquired in 2022.
“Stuart and the surrounding area is a rapidly growing, vibrant market and our slips are already in high demand. We are excited to welcome customers to our new marina and look forward to supporting them at every step of their boating journey.”
MarineMax operates over 120 locations worldwide, including more than 70 dealerships and 65 marina and storage facilities. Its business includes IGY Marinas, Fraser Yachts Group, Northrop & Johnson, Cruisers Yachts, Aviara and Intrepid Powerboats.
Earlier this month, MarineMax opened the IGY Savannah Harbor Marina, a state-of-the-art marina on Hutchinson Island that includes superyacht berths.
The company also offers financing, insurance services and digital technology products through Boatyard and Boatzon. MarineMax Vacations operates charter services in the British Virgin Islands.
