UK-based anode manufacturer, MG Duff, has appointed EP Barrus as its exclusive national distributor for the UK leisure marine market.
Established in 1956, MG Duff specialises in producing sacrificial anodes for leisure boats, commercial ships, and offshore structures.
“We are thrilled to have reached this agreement with such a household name in our industry and especially to be partnered with such a successful British manufacturer,” says Ben Allen, General Manager for Barrus’ Marine Leisure Division. “Our combined history spans over 160 years and we look forward to being part of the next stage of the journey. The MG Duff name is synonymous with quality, trust and longevity, and we will be taking that message out to our dealer network and on to the discerning boat owner.”
The MG Duff range joins a growing portfolio of more than 30 new brands under the Barrus Marine Equipment Division, and offers a range of over 3,000 anodes across all sectors as well as a bespoke anode manufacturing service and a range of related civil engineering services.
Zinga has also been added to Barrus’ range of marine maintenance products – again with exclusive distribution rights for the UK leisure marine market.
Zinga is a one-component, cold-applied zinc coating which contains a minimum of 96% pure zinc when dry. It creates an active anodic zinc layer that provides cathodic protection to submerged metal and a passive zinc coating that resists corrosion above water.
The Zinga coating is suitable for repairing worn or damaged galvanising on boat trailers, anchors, chains, keels, and underwater fittings.
