NMMA holds free electrification webinar today

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) will hold a virtual panel event discussing ‘The Future of Marine Propulsion Technologies’ today (21 June) at midday eastern standard time.

Industry experts will discuss the political and economic impacts of electrification implementation in the recreational marine industry, what to expect in the near future, and the industry safety standards on the horizon.

Panelists include Scott Berry, director of engineering standards at NMMA; Daniel Vielhaber, economist with Nationwide Economics; Callie Hoyt, NMMA’s director of federal government relations; and Jeff Wasil, an engineer with BRP.

Viewers can register for the event, which is held as part of the IBEX Education Conference, online.

The panel will present an overview of electrification technology and projections for the future, opportunities for next-generation marine propulsion adoption, limiting factors impacting electrified marine propulsion applications and other technologies including hydrogen, hybrid systems and renewable biofuels.
