Informa PLC has published its full-year results for the year ended 31 December 2025, reporting revenue of £4.04bn, compared with £3.55bn in 2024. Adjusted operating profit reached £1.14bn, up from £995m the previous year, while free cash flow totalled £884.8m.

The London-based business information publisher and events organiser operates across B2B live events, digital services and academic publishing.

Informa PLC, through its Informa Markets division, is one of the world’s leading organisers of yacht and boat shows. It is behind major events including the Miami International Boat Show, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Monaco Yacht Show and the Palm Beach International Boat Show.

According to the group, revenue growth during the year was supported primarily by trading activity in its B2B live events divisions and by continued performance in its core academic markets business.

Stephen A. Carter, group chief executive of Informa PLC, says: ”The Informa Group delivered an outstanding performance in 2025, delivering double-digit growth in revenues, adjusted earnings per share and cash flow.”

He adds: ”The ‘Power of Live’, the value of proprietary first-party data, deep international reach and the deployment of AI technology are driving strong customer demand for our specialist brands, underpinning our confidence in the compounding growth opportunities for Informa.”

Reported revenue increased by 13.7 per cent year on year. On an underlying basis, revenue growth was 6.3 per cent, while adjusted operating profit increased by 8.7 per cent. Adjusted diluted earnings per share rose to 55.6p, compared with 50.1p in 2024.

Statutory operating profit for the year was £141.7m, compared with £542.8m in the previous year. The decline was linked to higher intangible amortisation and the previously reported non-cash impairment related to Informa TechTarget.

Within the group’s B2B live events segment – which includes Informa Markets, Informa Connect and Informa Festivals – total revenue reached £3bn in 2025. This compares with £2.64bn in 2024. Adjusted operating profit for the segment totalled £857.5m.

The company’s academic publishing division, Taylor & Francis, reported revenue of £670.8m, compared with £698.2m the previous year. Adjusted operating profit in this division was £245.7m.

Informa TechTarget reported revenue of £368.0m in 2025, up from £217.4m in 2024. Adjusted operating profit for the unit was £36.6m.

The group states that cash generation remained strong during the year, with operating cash conversion of 106 per cent and free cash flow of approximately £885m.

The news comes a week after Reuters – citing anonymous sources – reported that Informa has begun an exploratory process to sell a stake in its portfolio of luxury events based in Monaco. The portfolio includes flagship events such as the Monaco Yacht Show and Top Marques Monaco, as well as other brands within the group’s Luxury & Lifestyle division. Reuters also notes that the talks remain at a preliminary stage and there is no certainty that a transaction will take place.

Annual shareholder distributions confirmed

Informa also confirmed shareholder distributions for the year. The full-year dividend was set at 22p per share, representing a 10 per cent increase compared with 2024. The company also completed around £350m of share buybacks during the year, contributing to total cash returns of approximately £620m.

The company began a new share buyback programme in 2026 with an initial commitment of £200m. This was subsequently increased to £250m. According to the company, the increase reflects the strength of cash flow generation and current equity market conditions.

Year to date in 2026, the company reports that £72.5m of shares have been repurchased at an average price of 834p, reducing share capital by 8,702,552 shares.

The group states that it continues to target underlying revenue growth of around 6 per cent in 2026, with higher growth expected within the B2B live events division.

The company notes that more than £2bn of expected 2026 revenue has already been paid, booked or committed through recurring exhibitor revenue, subscriptions and forward bookings.
