Quick launches new generation gyros at LBS

Quick will launch its latest generation gyros at the London Boat Show, its MC2 X range.

The gyros are a development of the MC2 range that was launched at LBS 2017 with the improvements making the product easier to install and operate with greater efficiency and performance.

“The new MC2 X series is the result of careful research, aimed at achieving highly competitive performance,” explained Andy Sims, Quick’s UK representative. “The Quick research and development laboratories have revolutionised the concept of operation of the previous series by introducing technical solutions capable of guaranteeing greater safety and a much higher performance given by the relationship between mass and angular momentum.”

And he explained that the main features of the stabiliser are that it is simple to install with removable protection.

A hydraulic system provides precision control and there is a thermal sensor that protects the motor.

Bearings are lubricated with Kluber Isoflex NBU 15 grease and there is a special labyrinth sealing system that prevents the entry of external particles into the bearings.

The drive and electric motors are designed and manufactured by Quick.

Other products on the Quick stand at London will include windlasses, thrusters, battery chargers, inverters, LED lights and remote controls.

Quick will be on stand LD084.
