Record new exhibitors in METSTRADE British Pavilion

At 2018’s METSTRADE Show, the British Pavilion (Hall 3) showcased the latest marine equipment to be pioneered in the UK as it presents over 70 exhibitors. Of these, a record 12% have unveiled their products at this global exhibition for the first time.

The Pavilion exclusively presents the best of British craftsmanship and innovation as a British Marine member only showcase since 2016. Ranked both the second biggest and most visited country pavilion across the whole of METSTRADE, it is a prime destination for visitors seeking the finest expertise and technology. New exhibitors include CANtronik Ltd, GBMarine, Marine Rescue Technologies, August Race, SSVC Services Sound & Vision Corporation, Reach & Rescue, SLEEK, Extreme Cases Ltd and Clean 2 Gleam.

They have been joined by established British exhibitors, such as Lumishore, Scanstrut, Landau UK Commercial, Allen Brothers and Autonnic Research, all of whom were nominated for the prestigious DAME Design Award. As the world’s number one international design competition for new marine equipment and accessories, these companies have been recognised for pioneering new products that could make a genuine difference in the market.

Also flying the flag, are an additional 46 British Marine members spread across the expanse of the Show, including the increasingly popular British cluster within the exhibition’s prestigious Superyacht Pavilion. Among them are additional DAME nominees: Rooster, Raymarine UK, Garmin, Triskel Marine, Shakespeare Electronic Products Group, Navico, Mercury Marine, Yamaha and Harken.

The DAME awards proved to be successful for British Marine members with Triskel Marine named as overall DAME award winner. Category winners Harken, Rooster and Shakespeare Electronic Products Group and special mentions Garmin, Lumishore, Raymarine, Landau UK and Scanstrut.

During the three-day exhibition, the British Ambassador to the Netherlands, Peter Wilson CMG, has been touring the event to meet and show his support for the association and its members. His visit was followed by British Marine’s annual Meet The Buyer Networking Reception hosted on Wednesday 14 November at 5pm, which this year was sponsored by LIGNIA Wood Company.

British Marine association, Superyacht UK, has enjoyed a prominent status as an official partner of the 23rd edition of The Superyacht Forum, taking place at METSTRADE. Sponsoring the Evening Reception on Monday 12 November, the association and its members received one of a kind international brand exposure and contact-building opportunities.

Richard Selby adds: “For the first time, Superyacht UK has partnered with The Superyacht Group, sponsoring the prominent Superyacht Forum. This is a fantastic opportunity for the association to promote this thriving UK sector to a truly global audience.”
