Rockley Watersports partners 2018 LBS

The London Boat Show and the all-new Boating & Watersports Holiday Show, powered by British Marine, are delighted to announce Rockley Watersports as a partner for three key attractions. The Activity Pool, Beach Club and Starter Boat area are all aimed at bringing boating and watersports to life, enabling people to experience the activities themselves or learn how easy it is to get started, with experts on hand.

Rockley Watersports, the UK’s leading watersports, training and activity trip provider, will be providing teams of fully qualified instructors to offer visitors the chance to learn a new skill, be it on water or on dry land first; they’ll also be offering expert advice on what people need to know to get started, or upgrade to the next activity.

The Activity Pool, powered by Rockley Watersports, is the place to get on the water and experience the thrill of dinghy sailing, radio controlled sailing, kayaking or Stand Up Paddleboarding.

Visitors can learn new skills under the watchful eye of Rockley Watersports’ fully trained team. All equipment for this free activity is provided, again by Rockley Watersports.

The Beach Club, powered by Rockley Watersports, offers the ultimate urban beach experience. Visitors can chill out on the sand with family, relax at the beach café or take a free beach clinic and learn the basics of sailing or Stand Up Paddleboarding before trying it for real on the Activity Pool. All ‘chalk & talk’ clinic sessions will be run by experts from Rockley.

The Starter Boat attraction, powered by Rockley Watersports, will host a wide variety of boats and watersports craft, of all shapes, sizes and prices. It will demonstrate the options available to get started, depending on budget and interest. Experts, provided by Rockley, will be on hand to talk through the kit and experience needed, such as safety equipment, training opportunities, clothing and qualifications.

Pip Woods, Managing Director at Rockley Watersports, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the London Boat Show and the all new Boating & Watersports Holiday Show to offer visitors three fabulous attractions. Our aim is to demonstrate just how easy and accessible it is to enjoy boating and watersports and what an exciting activity it is. Across our two UK training centres and three French activity centres we help more than 10,000 people a year get on the water, so we’re perfectly placed to encourage and excite those visiting ExCeL this January,”

The new five-day London Boat Show, taking place 10-14 January 2018, will pack ExCeL London’s South Hall with over 330 exhibitors, along with hundreds of boats of all shapes and sizes. Showcasing soon-to-be must-haves alongside award-winning boats and products, it remains the first stop for any enthusiast looking to explore and test the newest products on the market and buy their boating essentials for the New Year.
