Sunseeker opens showcase venue in Poole

As discussed in MIN previously, companies are looking at a range of event options to supplement or replace boat shows during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

And now Sunseeker has revealed its new invite-only showcase venue, somewhere to entertain clients onsite. As reception areas go, it’s a step above and beyond.

The showcase venue is to complement the permanent Sunseeker year-round boat show display featuring five models on the hard with at least five others moored on adjacent pontoons. The land-based boats are easily accessed via permanent viewing platforms with the display being regularly updated as boats are sold.

“The showcase was an idea formed in lockdown,” says Sunseeker sales director, Chris Head. “With boat shows cancelling we wanted to create an outstanding venue at which we could engage with our clients and build on our relationships, relax with them after their factory tours and entertain them in a very special environment.

“On site there is a bar named Robert’s bar, in loving memory of Sunseeker founder, Robert Braithwaite. We also have a 10-seater dining table for entertaining, a design suite for new owners to choose design specs, and an impressive private cinema, boasting a wealth of technology. The living area has an array of bespoke artwork provided by the Maddox Gallery. The exterior of the showcase boasts a number of Sunseeker Yachts, all of which are available for viewing.”

The showcase has been brought to life with partner Coleman Marine Insurance.

“We were thrilled to be asked to come on board as a showcase partner,” says Steve Risk, Coleman Marine Insurance MD. “Sunseeker has created a very innovative way to engage with its clients, in the heart of the marine world on the South Coast. As a business we will use this as a platform to get Coleman Marine and Gallagher clients in front of the Sunseeker product.”
