The new Dufour 390 Grand Large

The new Dufour 390 Grand Large is a versatile addition to the Dufour range, which will appeal to families wanting to cruise with friends or charterers. There are three choices of interior layout, including a traditional L-shaped galley, table with seating on both sides, and either two or three cabins with two shower/heads. Alternatively, the third option is for an American-style long galley with three cabins and three shower/heads, often a popular choice for charter work.

The third generation Umberto Felci hull design has more pronounced bulwarks and a recessed hull down to the waterline, to improve both upwind and downwind sailing and stability. Dufour have continued their evolution of keel and rudder designs. A standout feature of previous generations of Dufour Yachts, this contributes to the Dufour’s enviable performance and handling especially in a breeze. The 1.96m keel on the 390GL can be replaced with an optional 1.75m.

Solid teak decking runs from the wide, dropdown bathing and boarding platform, throughout the generous side decks, wide helmsman’s seat and the cockpit area through to the bow. LED lights positioned around the cockpit and side decks create a soft atmosphere in the evening.

The slightly raised coachroof is designed for minimal clutter, with full deck cover over the halyards creating a clean look and easy space to move freely around the boat. It also has the effect of increasing the volume and living space in the saloon below decks.

Typical of all the Felci Dufour designs, long windows, multiple hatches and new flush deck Perspex window panels flood the cabins below with natural light, enhance the feeling of space.

The developments to the hull and chines creates more spacious aft cabins, and the interior solid wood finish is offered in moabi, oak or teak, creating a luxurious and sturdy finish.

Additions below deck include LED lighting and USB sockets throughout, a new saloon table design, and an intelligent navigation station.  The 5” touch screen provides instant information such as GPS position and data including fuel and water levels, battery power, temperature.  Dufour have also introduced Dufour Connect, a digital platform which can run from a mobile device or laptop giving you access to the control panel, latest boat data and documents.
