Three people capsized a rowing boat while trying to watch the Killers at the Isle of Wight Festival.
The Cowes RNLI and coastguards were called to the River Medina, near the festival site, at about midnight on Sunday.
Two of the people in the boat, a man and a woman described as “middle-aged”, were rescued by another boat, while the third person managed to scramble to the river bank near Newport Rowing Club.
They were taken by lifeboat to ambulances before being driven to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport.
Lifeboat helm Mark Harker says: “They were very cold and stunned and because it was dark there was a good chance they could have been hit by one of the other boats milling around at the end of the festival.”
