Virtual networking for superyacht professionals

A private networking platform has been launched for superyacht professionals to keep in touch during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Based on a site for superyacht captains that currently has 1,700 members from around the world, the new site’s wider remit requires a brief application for vetting purposes, and then it’s free to connect with professionals worldwide.

The site is an open forum and members can post PDFs, photographs, documents and videos, set up private forums for specific groups, track yachts through links with Marine Traffic, and more.

The site’s been built by Colin Squire Publishing (Yachting Matters).

“It’ll allow companies and individuals from around the world that have no access to shows or networking, for the foreseeable future to now carry on, but in a new way. Many individual organisations exist that support the superyacht industry, but they do not allow networking between themselves, this site will resolve that problem,” says Colin.

“Captains have learned that by helping each other they all benefit in a massive way. The same should apply to this new site and its members. We are going through tough times at the moment and hopefully this will enable those in the industry to still make contact with old and new clients alike and, as with the captains, it will help create an incredible worldwide knowledge base for us all to benefit from.”

Sounds like a good idea Colin!

I’ve had to cancel my Electrical Control Systems for superyacht engineers end of this month in Antibes and in Palma in May, so how does one join?
