We’ll Brexit-proof your holiday!
Book with PlainSailing.com and we won’t let you go out of pocket if Brexit kills your holiday.

It’s just under one year to go until Brexit day, but we still don’t know the main implications for people, free trade, financial services and business – and much less on what impact it will have on our holidays to the EU. The aviation industry are unconvinced by the current negotiating timetable, and Ryanair are now selling tickets with the added caveat that if Brexit scuppers their plans, they will cancel some or all of their flights.

But a UK-based yacht charter company is offering some stability and peace of mind to their customers: normally, it’s expensive to cancel a yacht charter after making the booking, but PlainSailing.com have stated that they won’t let their customers go out of pocket if Brexit makes their holiday impossible, and they can’t get out to their charter yachts or catamarans.

Adrian Tognarelli, founder of PlainSailing.com, said: “We’re already starting to see bookings and enquiries coming in for summer 2019, and without any idea of what is around the corner, it’s proving pretty impossible to know what or how Brexit will affect us and our customers.

“We don’t think that’s good enough, and it’s a bit ridiculous that customers are being put into this position of having to wait and see what happens – so we’re guaranteeing anyone who books with us that, if Brexit for some reason means that they can’t get to their charter yacht or catamaran at our bases in Greece or Croatia, we’ll give them a full refund.

“We think and desperately hope that holiday travel should be unaffected, but this is to give our customers peace of mind that they won’t have to personally pay if Theresa May and David Davis get outmanoeuvred on travel, the flights stay grounded, and they end up stuck in the UK instead of sailing in the sunny Mediterranean.”
