Yacht Racing Forum returns to discuss competitive sailing

Men sit around a table - talking

The Yacht Racing Forum / Design & Technology Symposium is taking place on November 20-22 in Amsterdam. Organisers expect members of the yacht racing community and sailing industry from all over the world to make up the 200+ delegates as the show runs (partially) alongside METSTRADE.

The Yacht Racing Forum describes itself as the premier B2B event for the sailing and the yacht racing industry. It aims to unpick latest technological developments, societal trends and cutting-edge strategies for moving an event, a team or a product forward.

Organisers say that just some of the highlights this year include discovering how AI is revolutionising yacht design, event management, weather forecast and routing, on and off the water; exploring the latest advancements in propulsion systems, and discovering the risks and opportunities related to the use of lithium batteries in racing yachts; discussions on how the sailing industry is addressing environmental challenges and fostering a more inclusive and diverse community, regardless of gender, background or experience.

Plus, senior management and actors from the America’s Cup, Olympic Games, Vendée Globe, Ultime events, IMOCA and much more will be impacting their knowledge.

“The Yacht Racing Forum is the annual B2B conference for the sport of sailing; it is the place where the industry leaders and stakeholders meet, network and do business. It is a good opportunity to learn about the latest trends, technologies, events, and to meet the key people active in the sport,” says Bernard Schopfer who runs the forum.

More information on the agenda is available online.
