Land ho! Police make surprising discovery by side of A11 near Snetterton

A small boat was landlocked near Snetterton, after traffic police discovered it abandoned by the side of the road.

The vessel was discovered by traffic officers on Sunday afternoon by the side of the A11.

An officer from Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Policing Tweeted a video revealing his discovery, joking that it could assist officers in wet weather conditions.

He said: “Everyone is saying we are going to be getting a lot of rain in the next few days. I do not know how much we are expecting but we found this boat on the A11.

“If we have that much rain in Snetterton we might be using it as our new form of patrol vehicle.”
