Trade groups link up to maximise benefits of energy investment along East coast

The trade body for the regional energy industry in East Anglia has joined forces with its Humberside counterpart to help businesses get the most out of the investments being made in the region.

The East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) linked up with Team Humber Marine Alliance to sign a memorandum of co-operation in Amsterdam this week.

Together, the two groups have a membership of more than 500 businesses and they hope to forge links to become a more effective voice for UK energy and maritime businesses along the East coast.

Mr Gray says: “The very large scale of many projects puts them out of reach of most businesses on their own, but by pooling resources we can provide all the necessary experience and support.

“We hope our agreement with Team Humber will put many more companies in the frame. Together, we have a huge amount of knowledge and know what it’s like to tackle the industry’s major jobs.”
