Barton to introduce rising star at RYA Dinghy Show

Barton Marine is introducing the winner of the 2021 Rising Star competition, Harry Newton, at the virtual RYA Dinghy Show this weekend (27-28 Feb), as well as showcasing its extensive dinghy offering.

Newton, who refers to himself as Sailor Harry, will be in conversation with Christian Brewer, Barton Marine’s global sales manager, each afternoon at 2pm. Discussing how he fell in love with sailing, his route into racing and his transition from Topper to Laser class, Newton will also answer questions about youth dinghy sailing. Other talks over the weekend include Barton team members Dave Hawkins, Pete Pollard, and Dermot and Hannah Bealey.

Barton will be focusing attention on its Laser Kits and Dinghy Boomstrut at the show. The range of five Laser Kits provide durable, lightweight replacements for the standard factory fit systems.

Generally thought of as yacht technology, the Dinghy Boomstrut supports booms on sailing boats up to 16ft/4.9m, with its patented flexing spring providing fast response and a constant force for optimum vang efficiency, says Barton.
