Erleigh International, a Euro Car Parks company, has acquired A.S.A.P. Supplies for an undisclosed sum in its first acquisition after its sale to Euro Car Parks.

“A.S.A.P Supplies is a complementary fit with Arleigh and is a further enhancement of Euro Car Parts’ specialist products division,” said Martin Gray, CEO of Euro Car Parts. “This agreement further cements Arleigh as the market leading distributor of products to the UK caravan, leisure and marine markets.”

The Arleigh Group now comprises Nova Leisure, Arleigh, Midland Chandlers and A.S.A.P. Supplies.

“It’s a lovely success story. I’ve watched the business grow since it was founded by Peter Edwards,” explained Arleigh Group MD Alastair Thomas. “There is a very similar mindset and energy, a similar ethos and culturally very similar markets to our business.

“There are many complementary business opportunities – particularly with Midland Chandlers – and much synergy through our suppliers.”

He added: “We’re very excited about going forward. A.S.A.P is a hugely successful business in its own right. I’ve always admired and respected the company.”

Mr Thomas went on to say it’s business as usual for A.S.A.P. with the acquisition giving the company a few more strings to its bow. Further acquisitions are also planned.

“We plan to have a bigger presence in the leisure wholesale market going forward,” he said. “The marine market is very fragmented with a lot of opportunities for someone to come in and do it properly.”

A.S.A.P. was founded in 1989 by Peter Edwards.
