BM & London International Shipping Week 2017

London International Shipping Week 2017 (LISW17) is no longer just about shipping, or even London, now it’s a showcase opportunity for the UK’s entire £20bn maritime and marine industries. And this year British Marine will be alongside colleagues from Maritime UK, helping to fly the flag for the UK’s leisure, superyacht and small commercial marine industry.LISW will feature over 140 industry functions and networking opportunities in London during the week of 11-15 September.

The events will be held by international shipping and marine trade associations and UK Government (known as Supporting Organisations), as well as by official sponsors of the week. An estimated 15,000 industry leaders are expected to attend the week, suggesting a global networking opportunity of the highest level.There are a host of events taking place, which cover the full stretch of the industry, like the Maritime Skills Alliance Reception (11 September), the UK International Maritime Xchange (13 September) and the Maritime UK Parliamentary Reception (13 September) which will see the launch of a new report into the full economic impact of the UK’s maritime sector.British Marine members are also getting involved.

Paul Gullett, Director at Wave International will be giving a presentation, alongside industry partners, on ‘Oil Water Separators: Improving bilge pumping operations and reducing maintenance’.
