ISP to manufacture hospital equipment for NHS

One of Typhoon International’s manufacturing plants International Safety Products (ISP), whose name is normally associated with the manufacture of marine survival equipment, is now making vital equipment for the NHS.

Although ISP, based in Bootle, Merseyside, is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of marine inflatable lifejackets, it also has a background in military clothing and other accessories.

“We’ve recently diverted production to the manufacturing of essential NHS equipment,” says James Saunders, Operations Director at Typhoon and ISP.

“We are currently liaising with various parties on different requirement, however currently we’re making up to 10,000 patient gowns.”
