New dates for Liverpool and Bristol announced
The Western Boat Show will be held over three days in July
The Northern Boat Show 2018 is to move to new dates and a new four-day format.
The event will coincide with the Mersey River Festival, Tall Ships Liverpool 2018 and the start of the 2018 Biscay Tall Ships Regatta.
“We are very excited to be part of the Tall Ships Regatta at Liverpool which means the total audience of both Shows will be in excess of 1.25 million visitors,” said Richard Milbourn, event director of the Northern Boat Show. “This year’s Mersey River Festival welcomed more than 200,000 of visitors and played host to a range of visiting boats and nautical themed events, from yacht and raft racing, canoe polo, windsurfing, power boating, paddle boarding, wake boarding to flyboarding.”
Last year Mr Milbourn and his team launched The Western Boat Show and have announced it will again take place in 2018. The event will remain on the same weekend and will be held over three days in July, coinciding with the Bristol Harbour Festival.
Both Shows will cover the inland and offshore markets, taking advantage of their locations by the sea and on the canal network.
“Bristol Harbour Festival is the mother of all maritime festivals that attracts 250,000 visitors and celebrates the city’s vibrant harbour side with the harbour filled with two miles of vessels, food markets, circus acts, live music and performers,” explained Mr Milbourn.
The Northern Boat Show will take place from 25 to 28 May 2018 and the Western Boat Show from July 20 to 22 July 2018. Free pontoon tickets are available for all visitors that pre-register via www.northernboatshow.co.uk and www.westernboatshow.co.uk
