North Sails Golf Day raises £7,680 for the John Merricks Sailing Trust
A sunny but cold and frosty start greeted the 83 golfers that turned out for the North Sails Golf Day on Friday 8 November at Cams Hall Estate Golf Club in Fareham.
Former colleagues and friends of John’s, professional sailors and marine industry colleagues attended the event to play a round of golf whilst remembering John and supporting the charity in his name, raising over £7,680 for the John Merricks Sailing Trust (to support talented young sailors with boats and kit).
Since its inception 23 years ago the North Sails Golf Day has raised over £212,000 for the trust.
