The spectacular annual RORC dinner and prizegiving, sponsored by Ocean Safety

Ocean Safety, specialists in the worldwide supply, distribution, service and hire of marine safety equipment, announces it is to sponsor the 2019 Royal Ocean Racing Club annual dinner and prizegiving, which will take place in London at the Grand Connaught Rooms on Saturday 16th November.

The event is the crowning finale of a season of spectacular sailing both in UK and worldwide waters, including the internationally renowned Rolex Fastnet Race and Caribbean 600 race, and sees prize winners, competitors, crews, members and guests celebrate the year’s achievements.

Ocean Safety’s services and products have long been synonymous with the highest level of yacht racing, so the partnering of the two organisations is a natural relationship.  The challenges presented by yachts looking for extra speed, as well as for an increasingly sophisticated safety inventories for ocean races, have paved the way for Ocean Safety to develop ever more technologically advanced products and systems, working closely with sailing organisations to find solutions.  These in turn have enabled the leisure boating sector to advance in terms of safety awareness and preparation.

Alistair Hackett, MD of Ocean Safety, who himself is a member of the RORC Special Regulations Committee, says: “We are very pleased to be able to show our support of the RORC’s racing programme by partnering their annual celebration of winners and participants.”
