Sam Taylor-Nobbs Wins 2018 BMTA Personality of the Year Award

Icom UK is pleased to announce that sales director, Sam Taylor-Nobbs, was the recipient of the 2018 British Marine Trade Association Personality of the Year award.

Sam was presented with the award at the British Marine Trades Association Awards dinner on 10th January 2018.

The BMTA awards took place on the first evening of the 2018 London Boat Show. The awards focused on the achievements of leading personalities and companies in the industry.

Sam has worked in the marine industry for 37 years, 19 of those at Icom. He is passionate about sailing and is an active member of his local sailing club as well as volunteering for charitable causes in the marine and sailing world.

Paul Martin, British Marine Trades Association Chairman, stated; “Our Marine Personality of the Year, Sam Taylor-Nobbs of Icom UK, was a very popular choice among a field of strong nominations.”

Sam said; “I’m truly overwhelmed and honoured to be recognised with this award. I was told voting was cast by my colleagues in the marine industry, or as I call them friends, who in some instances I’ve had the fortune of knowing for some 37 years. Thank you everyone, it is just one of the best feelings of my career so far.”

From everyone at Icom UK, we would like to congratulate Sam on winning this prestigious award.

And all of us at Marine Industry News would like to add our congratulations to Sam – sorry we couldn’t be there to applaud your victory…
