Santa’s running for the RNLI

Kinghorn Lifeboat Station crew members are writing a note asking Santa to run in their second Santa Run and help raise funds for the RNLI.

After the success of the first event in 2016, this family event will take place at Kinghorn golf course on Saturday 25th November.

Suit and hat collection will take place at the club house from 10.15am, with the fun run beginning at 1045.

After the event, the annual Christmas Fayre coffee morning will be open until noon in the Church Hall, where refreshments and mince pies will be available. Taking part in the run will permit free entry into the fayre.

Event organiser, and volunteer crewmember, Richard Malcomson said, ‘We had great fun last year when over 50 people of all ages came along to take part. The 1.5km course will be suitable for the whole family, and will be great fun.

“Adults who take part will get their very own Santa suit, and children will get an elf hat as part of their entry. It would be great if the kids can all wear red and green too, for extra elfness!

“We would encourage you to come along and take part, and if you would like to raise more money for the RNLI by sponsorship, we have an event page where you can track our fundraising progress.

“It will be a great event to participate in, and the sight of all these Santas and elves on the edge of the golf course will be fantastic! In doing so, you will be helping to support one of Scotland’s busiest lifeboat stations.”

The Christmas Fayre takes place at the same time, opening at 10am.
