Sweden-based Verendus, developer of a web-based dealer management system tailored for the leisure vehicle industry, is pushing into the UK.

The company says its system streamlines dealership operations and is particularly suited to the caravan/motorhome and marine markets.

Unlike other generic systems, Verendus says its software solutions are tailor-made to support all dealership business activities with a one-stop-shop offering, including vehicle sales, workshop operations, stock management, POS, and rental fleet management.

“We’re very excited to establish Verendus in the UK, as it’s one of the biggest leisure vehicle markets in Europe and has a strong tradition in our core categories,” comments Rickard Ahlbom, CEO at Verendus.

“The start in the UK has been great so far, with welcoming brilliant customers who have taken a leap of faith and joined us on this journey.

“Currently, there aren’t many industry-specific systems for marine dealerships and workshops, and that’s why we see great potential in the UK, similar to the growth we’ve experienced in the marine segment in the Nordics over the past 4-5 years.

“We currently have around 100 marine dealerships in Norway and Sweden, and just last autumn, we became an official partner to both countries’ marine industry federations, Sweboat and Norboat.”

Those dealerships report success with the system. It was an ideal match for Seacastle’s criteria, says CEO Erik Wickgren. “It needed to manage boat sales, brokerage, quotes, inventory, workshop tasks, and work orders seamlessly. Additionally, we desired a web-based platform adaptable to our specific business needs.”

“The sales work really well because you gain a comprehensive overview of the vehicle inventory and margins. Another advantage is that our suppliers have been able to upload their files, allowing us to load them into Verendus. This enables us to generate better quotes, improve control, and become more cost-conscious,” agrees Nicklas Hjelm, CEO Jungfrusunds Marin.

Dealership software system incorporates supplier prices

“Software systems that aren’t specifically tailored to the industry tend to miss key features, given all the options, accessories, and spare parts that are integral to boats and other leisure vehicles,” says Ahlbom.

“Our workshop system allows dealers to handle both internal and external jobs, seamlessly incorporating industry-specific supplier price lists like Yamaha and Mercury, which we have in the Nordics and are looking to expand into the UK. Moreover, our customers can rely on continuous development; while many systems from a decade ago are becoming outdated, our strength lies in continually innovating and building solutions that streamline daily operations for our dealers. This includes integrations with accounting software or digital e-signing for smoother contract processes.”

Verendus currently has operations in Sweden, Norway, and Germany and serves over 600 dealers across Europe.

Marine dealership software understands each margin

“Our strength lies in being an industry-tailored system that creates an optimised workflow for you as a boat dealer or boatyard, focusing on boat sales, customised quotes and contracts, and workshop management,” says Ahlbom.

“We aim to help our customers operate more efficiently, saving them significant administrative time and ultimately enhancing the end customers’ experience. Our customers get better insights into their purchasing processes, making them more in control of their costs, and ultimately more profitable, thanks to a better understanding of margins in each transaction.”
