Watch as tanker mounts breakwater in Marseilles
Footage has been shared showing the horrifying moment a tanker, Cap Pinède, struck a breakwater in northern Marseille. It’s understood that the incident occurred when the tanker was entering the port. The vessel was able to make its berth after the incident but has remained in the same position since.
No one was injured in the incident, and no pollution was detected, according to EN24.
“The boat can sail but repairs are still necessary,” a spokesperson said.
The incident occurred last week.
