Waveair keeps atmosphere fresh by eliminating foul vent smells

Wave International LINJ has launched Waveair, a compact tube-shaped filter designed to filter out bad odours expelled by holding tank vents.

Many boat owners will recognise the offensive odour from tank vents especially from the black water tanks when flushing toilets.

The filter is available in two sizes. The Waveair Micro is just 200mm long, and the Waveair standard measures 430mm. Both models come complete with brackets and hose connections designed to fit to 16mm, 19mm or 25mm connectors.

The Waveair filter is installed into the vent line after the holding tank and before the outlet. The filter media inside the Waveair removes the organic compounds which create the foul smell. Once installed, the Waveair will operate effectively for at least 12 months before requiring a filter change, the company says. New replacement filter cartridges are available through Wave’s network of international distributors and dealers.

The Waveair costs from around £35.00 ex VAT and can be easily retrofitted into any design of sail or motorboat.
