Bering Yachts opens new shipyard

Turkey-based Bering Yachts has opened a new shipbuilding facility in Burgas, Bulgaria.

A prime spot for naval and marine industries, the new shipyard located on the Black Sea is the company’s second facility, and will initially be responsible for building Bering Yachts’ smaller models, later moving onto hulls for the superyacht sector.

Burgas is a city with a strong shipbuilding heritage. The company says that coming to Burgas to build yachts “feels like coming back home, where everyone knows who you are and can see the value and embrace the compassion of what our devotion to yachts is all about”.

The company continues: “It is an honour to be a part of this region industry, and we will make everything possible to contribute to the future of this city.”

Bering flagship MY Heeus

The shipyard recently launched the first hull of its flagship yacht, the B145 M/Y Heeus. The 44-metre expedition yacht hit the water at Bering’s Antalya facilities and is now the largest explorer to be launched by the builder.
