BlueNav announces new CEO
Marine hybrid technology firm BlueNav has appointed Xavier Lachérade as chief executive officer (CEO).
Since January 2024, Lachérade has served as chief operating officer at BlueNav. In this role, he streamlined operations and refined the company’s strategic direction, contributing to its preparedness for new challenges. His tenure as COO established the foundation for his transition to CEO, a position in which he will oversee the company’s overarching strategy.
BlueNav says Lachérade’s appointment signifies an intention to expand its commercial footprint across Europe.
Lachérade brings 18 years of experience in leadership and technical roles. He began his career at General Electric Healthcare, and previously worked at Aldebaran, a leader in humanoid robotics, where, as chief technical officer (CTO), he oversaw the startup’s industrialisation prior to its integration into SoftBank Robotics.
“Taking the helm of BlueNav is an exciting challenge: to further develop a company that harnesses technology to benefit both the environment and the user experience,” says Lachérade. “My goal is to build on our innovative approach to boat hybridisation by providing navigation solutions that are smart, reliable, and respectful of our environment.”
BlueNav integrates advanced hardware and software technologies with dedicated services to assist clients in hybridising their boats.
