Chris-Craft announces expansion in US

Chris-Craft has broken ground on a new factory expansion project in Sarasota, Florida.

The expansion project is set to transform a 6-acre brownfield lot into an additional manufacturing building adjacent to Chris-Craft’s current factory in Sarasota.

Chris-Craft has partnered with developer Ryan Companies US Inc. to construct the 80,000 square-foot facility expansion.

“We are excited for the opportunity to expand Chris-Craft right here at our home facility in Sarasota”, company president Steve Heese says. “Through this expansion, we will be able to better serve our dealers and customers, as well as the Sarasota community.”

The existing facility covers over 20 acres and employs over 300 people. The completion of the expansion is slated for September 2022, and is expected to add 200 employees to the Chris-Craft team.

Founded in Michigan in 1874, Chris-Craft is one of America’s long-established motor yacht brands, known for luxury day boats, sports cruisers and launches. The company says the expansion will enable it to increase production capabilities to meet growing market demands.
