Dufour Yachts showcases Dufour 470 at SIBS

Universal Yachting, Dufour Yacht’s South Coast dealer, will be exhibiting five models at Southampton Boat Show 2021 – the Dufour 360, 390, 430,470 and the 56 performance cruising monohull yachts. Launched in early 2021, the Dufour 470 will be making its debut at the Southampton Boat Show.

Built in France at Dufour Yacht’s yard in La Rochelle, all the yachts are designed by Italian naval architects, Umberto Felci.

The 14.85m Dufour 470 is a modernised, contemporary yacht with a choice of three to five cabins and new reverse-chamfer curve on the topsides. The Dufour 470 is available in three models – Easy, Ocean and Performance – the three deck layouts each aimed at a different part of the sailing market.

Chris Warwick, principal at Universal Yachting, comments: “Southampton Boat Show is an important opportunity to showcase and promote the Dufour range to both newcomers and established sailors to see for themselves the extraordinary value and performance packed into these striking contemporary yachts.”

The Dufour 56 (17.15m LOA) has three different cabin layouts. There’s also the option to add a crew cabin in the forepeak and a Pullman cabin in the saloon. The 56 can accommodate between seven and 11 berths.

Launched in 2019, the Dufour 430 (LOA 13.24m) offers three or four cabins, two showers/heads and an open forward galley. The wide coach roof also enables a full width mainsheet traveller to be fitted, and a full deck cover sits over the halyards.

The Dufour 390LOA 11.93m, also launched in 2019, has three choices of interior layout, including a traditional L-shaped galley, table with seating on both sides, and either two or three cabins with two showers/heads. The third option provides an American-style long galley with three cabins and three shower/heads.

Dufour 360, LOA 10.73m, launched in 2018 with extended hull chines for added stability and reduced heeling motion. The 360 has the option for two or three cabins and, concealed under the rear cockpit seats, is Dufour’s now trademark external galley, accessed via the bathing platform which also doubles as a landing platform for a tender.
