Dynamiq signs contract to build 50m GTT 160
Dynamiq GTT 160Monaco-based superyacht builder Dynamiq has sold a new 50-metre superyacht, which is a member of the Gran Turismo Transatlantic series.
The all-new Dynamiq superyacht will be built in aluminium and carbon fibre and constructed at the manufacturer’s new facilities in Antalya, Turkey.
The 50m GTT 160 will be delivered in the summer of 2025 and will join the charter market.
Dynamiq’s last delivery, the 2021 41-metre Stefania, will be attending the upcoming 2022 Monaco Yacht Show, which takes place 28 September-1 October.
Dynamiq says the GTT 160 has a fast displacement round bilge hull, designed with ‘hydrodynamic excellence’ in mind. The superyacht’s lightweight construction, with further implementation of hull vane technology, is said to help lower the engine size by 40 per cent in comparison with similar-sized steel models.
The manufacturer claims these technical features will enable the GTT 160 to achieve a top speed of over 16 knots and have an ocean-crossing range of more than 4,500nm, while being relatively more sustainable.
The GTT 160 has six spacious guest cabins, including a full-beam owner’s stateroom on the main deck, and will be designed in a ‘Maldivian’ style. The superyacht comes with a beach club on the main deck aft, complete with a 12-person pool and folding terraces, as well as an observation deck for panoramic sea views. The GTT 160 will be built to BV commercial requirements, including the prestigious comfort class notation.
The buyer, who is from northern Europe, was introduced to Dynamiq by Pierre Badin from Denison Yachting’s Monaco office.
“It was a great experience dealing with Dynamiq as they showed extreme flexibility in fulfilling all of the owner’s wishes,” says Badin. “Being a forward-thinking concept, some changes were required to match the client’s family-centric lifestyle, but these were all incorporated fast and smoothly. It’s quite a unique situation when a design bureau is basically directly linked to the shipyard. Dobroserdov Design made all sketches and investigations almost in real-time, which the client really appreciated.”
Dynamiq CEO and exterior designer, Sergei Dobroserdov, adds: “We are extremely happy to welcome another savvy client to the Dynamiq family who shares our passion for innovation, efficiency and contemporary design. This time we decided to appoint long-term partner Vripack in the Netherlands as our naval architecture contractor with the Dutch Studio Delta to execute complex aluminium structural calculations, ensuring the yacht is designed to the highest northern European standards.”
