Essex Marina chandlery change

The chandlery store in Essex Marina which has been operated by TCS Chandlery for the past 8 years is to change ownership and become part of the Marinestore Group, who currently operate shops in Burnham on Crouch, Maldon and West Mersea.

TCS Chandlery will continue to operate their retail and mail-order chandlery service from their base in Grays, Thurrock, where the business has been run for 30 years.

Rob Clay MD for TCS Chandlery said: “In order to be able to focus attention on a new business venture, I made the decision to move TCS out of Essex Marina. The relationship we have with Marinestore and their existing local presence made the change an obvious and straightforward move.”

Eleanor Callus MD for Marinestore said: “Marinestore has been selling chandlery in Essex since 1992, so the opportunity to take over the store in Essex Marina and expand our presence was a very easy decision. Essex Marina is located on the River Crouch, next to Wallasea Island. With deep water berths located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is a popular location. Visitors can rest assured that their chandlery needs will be well served in the future, as they have been in the past.
