Halyard awarded the 2019 Wave International Environmental Award

Halyard Ltd has been awarded the 2019 Wave International Environmental Award after outstripping other distributors in selling the company’s environmentally friendly products.

Halyard, the UK and Ireland distributor, has recently taken on the entire Wave International range with the company’s MD, Richard Summers, noticing a large increase in customers becoming more environmentally conscious.

“Our background is in vibration and noise reduction,” he said. “People are becoming more environmentally aware; they’re not pumping grey water out any more.

“By using Wave’s products, they can get rid of several tanks and take weight out of the boat which in turn reduces emissions. Exhaust emissions are currently a hot topic.”

And he said that once Halyard representatives get a first Wave product in front of customers, they are keen to hear about the advantages of other products.

“For us it’s quite exciting,” added Richard. “It’s another angle to what we’re trying to do – make boating more enjoyable for everyone.

“The products have always been a key part of the product offering.”
