RYA releases audiobooks

Enjoying the sound. Happy young woman with earphones is listening music on broadwalk in marine harbor.

The RYA is releasing two audiobooks, the RYA Yachtmaster Handbook (G70) and RYA VHF Handbook (G31).

These latest additions to the RYA’s range of print and digital publications will be distributed in the new audiobook format through standard audiobook channels (such as Apple Books, Google Books and Audible), with additional titles expected to be released in the future.

Samples of both audiobooks will be available for visitors to listen to on the RYA Publications stand (C69) at the RYA Dinghy Show (29 February – 01 March).

“Audiobooks have seen a massive increase in popularity in recent years, with the accessible format offering ‘readers’ the opportunity to listen on the go,” says RYA Publications Manager, Steen Ingerslev. “As well as the obvious accessibility benefits, this is a huge opportunity for us to expand our offer and reach a broader audience. The first two titles will be available on all the popular audiobook platforms shortly and we look forward hearing your feedback at the show.”
